Lavi took his time, letting the kiss linger for as long as he could draw it out. But he felt the train slow to a stop and knew they had to gather their belongings and disembark before the train left the station once more. Though, the thought of being confined with Allen again for a long period of time did sound appealing.

Pulling away, Lavi stared down at the younger Exorcist. His heart was beating so hard in his chest that he worried it might burst right through his ribcage and onto the floor. “Allen, I want—” He cut himself off from finishing the sentence, even though the words burned on his tongue—desperate to get out. I want you. He thought those three words over and over again. He wanted Allen so bad, wanted this to be more than just a one-time thing. Lavi wasn’t allowed to have a heart. He could never forget that. But maybe if… maybe if he gave his heart to Allen, the other boy could keep it safe for him.

“We should talk when we get back,” Lavi finally said, still pressing himself close to Allen. His hands lingered on Allen’s hips and his eye was still focused on the younger boy.

Allen leaned heavily against the compartment door as Lavi pulled away. He opened his eyes to meet Lavi’s, his body very aware of Lavi leaning into him, and hands holding his waist. Allen stayed quiet as Lavi struggled for words, and Allens hope grew stronger. Maybe Lavi did want to be with him…

“Yea, we should.” Allen agreed, a small, but real smile on his lips.
