the dgm fandom theorises a lot so i was wondering what you guys think of the connection between Lenalee’s nightmares and Allen (also that weird telepathy that happened when Lenalee waa fighting the level 3)
Like do you guys have any theories regarding that? that’s one thing I’ve still got no clue about…

i know quite a few people liked the idea of lenalee and allen jointly being the heart, and that the reason behind the visions and linked dreams were because of that, however with allen being the host for the 14th him being the heart would be really OTT, and lenalee being the heart is still possible but considering what the earl says after the level four fight about the real heart concealing itself and forming dummy hearts from innocence around it to hide itself, i think it’s far more likely that lenalee’s innocence (and perhaps allen’s as well) is acting as a dummy heart to hide the real one (which means it would have to be someone close to her, and considering kanda’s huge backstory arc and the lack of anything for lavi since the ark arc, and the huge amount of evidence for lavi being the heart, yeahh…..)

so i think their linked dreams could be to do with them being dummy hearts in the sense that their innocence is linked, therefore providing a mental link between them. we also know that hevlaska has the ability of foresight so it could also be a possibility that lenalee and/or allen has a similar gift.

i also remember someone ages ago suggesting that it was road’s influence, and that all the important dreams that occur in the manga could be because of her. allen’s dream of lenalee and the 14th, lenalee’s dreams of allen dying, lavi’s fight with road (which could very easily be a dream since lavi, when injured in that fight, simply lost consciousness instead of being hurt, unlike what happens to lenalee and allen when they fight road in her dreamworld in the rewinding town), allen’s dream of mana and a younger him in that weird modern-looking post-apocalyptic world – they’re all really important and defining moments for allen, lenalee, and lavi, and it could be that road is influencing the three of them for the purpose of the third side/neah/etc.

but this is just me clutching at straws aha ;;;;

Everyone seems to overlook the fact that when Allen was nearly killed by Tyki, even Bookman is shown to have some sort of sense that something happened.

I feel like that is significant somehow…

My theory has been that the innocence all has some sort of link or ability to sense other Innocence. And that link is passed onto the Exorcist. Apoco-creep is a good example of this, with his ability to track Allen’s Innocence. This theory can explain some of the times an Exorcist could somehow tell another was in trouble.

It also could potentially carry into dreams or influence them somehow…?

Bookman Jr. vs his personas

tintes-sirds:

So I’ve been thinking about Lavi’s personas a lot. And in my understanding it works like this – there is the Core (the real him, the original, the one who he was when Bookman accepted him as his apprentice) and then there are 49 Masks he has created.

Each Mask is a little different from previous so he gives them different names. They are created for the exact purpose masks usually are – to hide behind. They are his shield. Anyone who’d mean to get close would have to go through a Mask first.

But here’s the kicker – those Masks are not created from thin air. Every human has a multifaceted character/soul/heart. The Core is the same. But to make the Masks stronger against impacts, make them fit better and thus – cover him better – he infuses every single one with little bits of himself. One might contain more bitter and sarcastic pieces of Core (like Deak), one might lean towards flirting and joking (Lavi), etc..

And what if this infusing costs him?

What if every time he makes a new Mask, the Core loses a part of himself?

What if he’s left with holes in his heart that he can never fill up again and lonely emptiness surrounding him, even when guarded by 49 shields?

Headcanon

studs-lace-and-leather:

So annoyingeyepatchbookman and I came up with some theories. What if Adam is Mana and Neah’s father? It would explain why Mana looked like the Earl, and why the Earl was so upset and is so attached to the 14th.

And we know the Earl is Adam, so wouldn’t that make their mother Eve, and them Cain and Abel?

Also, Neah is killed. The death of Cain is the first murder, and leads the world to its eventual destruction. Neah is the Noah of Destruction.

Think about it…

Allen’s Eye

vetitumcordis:

So I have a theory, and I think by the end of this list most of you will agree with me. I’m just gonna list a bunch of things we know about this subject and see if everyone comes to the same conclusion as I did.

  • Allen’s eye has an upside-down, filled-in pentagram above it. A symbol seen used by the Earl/akuma.
  • Allen’s eye can see the souls tied to akuma.
  • Allen has that eye because Mana – an akuma at the time – gave it to him.
  • Allen’s eye evolves.
  • Allen’s eye has a similar soul(?) tied to it. (Seen briefly in his battle against Eliade at Krory’s castle. Possibly Mana’s soul or part of it, though that is mere loose speculation).
  • Allen’s eye (both the physical eye and the “eye” on the glass inside of the cogs) has been shown to look like an akuma’s eye (the most notable of these occurrences is in ch69 when Eshi the Level 3 and Allen’s activated eye are shown one after the other with the same pupil and iris shapes.
  • Allen’s eye caused the Gatekeeper to think he was an akuma.

So are you all thinking what I’m thinking? His eye isn’t “cursed.” It was made into an Akuma eye.
