So I know that this is going to sound silly and I blame my brother for getting me so invested in this show but I’m actually genuinely sad by the fact that Dipper and Mabel are going to have to go home at the end of the summer.

Like I would not be opposed to something happening to their parents that causes Stanford to officially adopt Dipper and Mabel and they grow up in Gravity Falls.

Soos drives them to school every morning until they’re old enough to drive the Stanleymobile. They have one big group of friends consisting of everyone from Wendy’s crew, Candy, Brenda, Pacifica, etc.

And just imagine the first day of school and as excited as the twins are, they’re bummed that summer’s over. But then their teacher gets a phone-call and sorrowfully tells the twins that their pet woodpecker has passed away. And they confusedly go outside and Stanford and Stanley are waiting for them, the latter face palming and grumbling that this was a terrible idea.

And Stanford’s just like, “Einstein here thinks that you two should have a ‘proper education’ or something like that. But I say that there’s a boogeyman that’s sleeping under people’s beds and it ain’t gonna trap itself!”

And from that moment on, the Original Mystery Twins get Dipper and Mabel out of class all the time so that the four of them can go around Gravity Falls, fighting monsters. And sometimes they even hop into the portal to visit alternate universes. And sometimes they end up getting thrown in jail but Stanford just cheerfully says that the family that gets arrested together stays together.

You can’t just show us all of the things that Dipper and Mabel did/will do in the show and expect us to be fine with them just going back to their normal lives!

Plus I like the idea that after being alone for thirty years, Stanford finally has a family.
