Allen was completely off-guard. He yelped and jumped away from Lavi, rubbing his stinging backside.

“Ow! Lavi, what the bloody hell?”

Lavi understood perfectly and squeezed back. It was obvious as to what Allen was trying to say, causing the redhead to smile and kick his feet a bit more. Things just kept getting better and better.

Before the two had any time to do anything further, the door opened and Lenalee walked in. Allen stiffened a bit, wondering if Lavi wanted to let go of his hand before she noticed, but she began talking as if nothing was odd.

“There you two are! Ive been looking for you everywhere! Komui wants to see you both.”

“I’m going to need you to put on some underwear before you say anything else.“ (Too funny to resist)

“Why? Don’t you like the view Allen?” Lavi smirked and walked closer to the white haired male. ((Omfg bless))

“Um, because this is my home and I can?” Lavi said the statement like it was obvious and walked off to the kitchen to grab a box of cereal.

“I live here too!” Allen said in a high voice, still covering his eyes.

Allen was completely off-guard. He yelped and jumped away from Lavi, rubbing his stinging backside.

“Ow! Lavi, what the bloody hell?”

As soon as the blush erupted on the white haired male’s cheeks Lavi couldn’t help but laugh. It was pretty obvious that his friend and potential love interest had finally gotten the hint. “Yes Allen, this is exactly what you think it is.”

“Oh.“ Allen said softly, blush darkening as he looked at his feet. He didn’t know what to say, so he tightened his grip on Lavis hand, hoping Lavi would understand that.

veridiansoulwrites:

“Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Let me do something quick.” Lavi sat up straight and moved some things around to make some room before tugging on the white haired male’s shoulder. He tugged the younger until he had laid his head in Lavi’s lap. “You can use me as a pillow because these seats suck.”

Allen was surprised, but didn’t resist as Lavi pulled him down. He felt an odd warmth linger wherever Lavi touched him, but he was comfortable, so he disregarded the odd feeling and soon fell asleep.

Allen was completely off-guard. He yelped and jumped away from Lavi, rubbing his stinging backside.

“Ow! Lavi, what the bloody hell?”

“Do you get it yet Sprout or do I have to spell it out for you?” Lavi waited to ask the question for many minutes but it didn’t seem like the white haired male had any idea of what was going on. He was so cute like that sometimes that it made the redhead smile.

“Think about this.” He said, raising their conjoined hands so Allen could see them directly.

Allen stared at their hands for a few moments, wondering what Lavi meant. Did he mean something special by holding his hand? Allen tried to think of what it could mean. He had held hands with others before, but it usually had a clear reason, such as leading someone through a crowd. But to just sit together and hold hands for no real reason… he could only think of couples he would see around town. Wait… he cant mean it that way, right?

Allen could feel his cheeks heat up at the thought, and his heart pounded as he met Lavi’s eyes.

“Umm…” He couldn’t think of what to say, if he was wrong he didn’t want to mess up their friendship.

veridiansoulwrites:

“You sure you aren’t just sick? Things have been going around a bit.” Lavi finally sat up and closed his book. He slid his way over to Allen and put a hand to the white haired male’s forehead along with his own. “You don’t feel warm. If you really think it’s what was in that water bottle then we can call Komui when we arrive. I think the last time I heard we had around an hour left.”

“Maybe youre right…” Allen agreed, keeping still as Lavi checked his temperature. Other than a lack of energy, he felt fine, but it could just be that his body was still fighting it off…?

“I think Ill take a nap until we get there. Then we can call him and figure out whats going on.” Hopefully he was just sick, that seemed like the better of the two situations, though it would be equally as inconvenient for the mission.

veridiansoulwrites:

When the compartment door opened Lavi perked up and pointed at the white haired male instead of turning to look at him. He kept his eyes trained on the words covering the page as he spoke.

“Is everything okay with you Allen? That took you over half an hour. I’m no expert about you, but I’m pretty sure you inhale your food a hell of a lot quicker than that.” He paused for a few moments before finally putting the book down and giving Allen a smirk. “Did you find a nice person to ‘talk’ to.”

Allen shook his head, completely missing what Lavi was trying to imply.

“No, it was empty… It took a while cause I ate more than usual…” He wondered if he should keep his suspicions to himself and not worry Lavi. But, if he was right and Komui’s potion really did mess his body up somehow, Lavi should know about it, at least for the sake of the mission.

“I think Komui’s potion did do something after all. I ate a ton but I still feel hungry and tired…”

veridiansoulwrites:

During the rather extensive time that Allen was gone Lavi made himself comfortable, stretching out across the bench fully rather than resting his feet on the floor. He hadn’t realized how long it was taking Allen until he had gotten halfway through the book.

“What the hell?” He glanced out the window at the sun, guessing that maybe half an hour had passed. Allen never usually took that long…

Allen sighed in frustration, pushing a plate of food away and laying his head on the table in defeat. He had already eaten more than usual, but he still felt hungry.

Is that stuff I drank somehow stopping my body from getting energy? If that was the case, he was in a lot of trouble. He needed that energy to use his Innocence. If this mission turned into a battle… And even unactivated, his innocence required a lot of energy. If it couldn’t get energy from food, it would take it from his body. Allen already felt tired, and he hadn’t even done much today.

He decided for the time being he would see if it improved on its own, and he would check in with Komui when they arrived at their destination. Hopefully by then Komui would have an idea of what had happened, and how to fix it.

When he got back to the compartment, Allen sat down silently on the bench opposite Lavi and leaned his head against the window. Lavi seemed to have made himself comfortable, lying across the bench, and Allen contemplated maybe taking a nap, to see if that made him feel any better.
