“Nope, but now that you are awake then the doctor can see you
properly.” Lavi sat forward in his chair a bit so he could press
the ‘call nurse’ button. A few moments later a nurse arrived and Lavi
asked to see the doctor as soon as possible.

Allen watched quietly as Lavi spoke with the nurse. He couldn’t help but feel like he was wasting Lavi’s time, they should be out completing their mission, instead Lavi was having to watch after him.

He did feel a bit better, so hopefully they could get out of here quickly and back to the mission. Lavi turned back to him, and he did his best to look alert.

“I do feel a lot better, hopefully this will be quick…” He was probably alright enough to complete the mission, it was a simple one, after all. He could worry about this issue once they were on the way back home.

Allen laid back down with no fuss when Lavi stopped him.

“I dont feel as bad though… Did the doctor figure something out?” He had no idea how long he had been asleep, but he figured if he felt better they must have done something.

Lavi frowned a bit at Allen’s questions and swiped a hand through the younger male’s hair. “Actually, the doctor hasn’t seen you yet Al. We’ve only been here long enough for me to fill out about four pieces of paperwork.”

“Oh… I didn’t sleep for very long then…” he said, feeling a bit confused. Why did he feel better after a few minutes of sleep than he had after the few hours he had slept on the train? Maybe whatever was wrong was wearing off…

veridiansoulwrites:

For a few moments Lavi didn’t notice Allen’s eyes on him but he
eventually he felt the silver eyes staring at him. He looked up and
smiled.

“Morning Sprout, you fell asleep.” Just as he was about to keep
talking he noticed Allen getting up. One of the redhead’s arms shot out
and crossed over the white haired male’s chest. “Hold on Al, don’t push
it.”

Allen laid back down with no fuss when Lavi stopped him.

“I dont feel as bad though… Did the doctor figure something out?” He had no idea how long he had been asleep, but he figured if he felt better they must have done something.

veridiansoulwrites:

In any other circumstance Lavi would’ve blushed when Allen nuzzled
into him, but this was serious and not the time for something as stupid
as emotions. The white haired male needed help and that was all. None of
this would ever happen again anyway.

A few minutes later Lavi finally arrived at the hospital and got
Allen into a room. He sat next to the bed and filled out papers while
they waited for the doctor.

Allen felt like he must have spaced out at some point, or fell asleep, because the next thing he knew he was lying on a hospital bed, staring at a white ceiling. He turned his head, and spotted Lavi leaning back in a chair while filling out papers. Otherwise, the room appeared empty.

Allen sat up carefully, and noted he didn’t feel dizzy this time. He still felt exhausted, but he felt better than he had on the train.

veridiansoulwrites:

“Honestly Allen, it isn’t any trouble at all.” Once Lavi was sure that the white haired male had a good hold on him he then reached back to grab Allen’s legs. Within a few moments he was on his way to the hospital, that according to the signs, wasn’t very far.

“I’m sure you are probably dehydrated or something. Being in enclosed spaces like that with stale air can dehydrate you quickly.”

Allen made a hum of acknowledgement, not convinced that the issue had anything to do with dehydration. He didn’t really feel up to discussing it anymore, though. Hopefully they would get to the hospital soon, and someone else could check.

He still felt so tired, the sway of Lavi walking and the warmth of his body was filling Allen’s mind with a sleepy fog. He unconsciously pressed his face into Lavi’s neck, nuzzling his hair a bit.

veridiansoulwrites:

“You should know by now not to apologize to me Allen. I do this because I want to.” The redhead took both of Allen’s arms and wrapped them around his own neck. Once he was sure the white haired male had the idea Lavi crouched down low enough for his friend to hop on.

Allen felt like he should say something, but he decided to just keep quiet as Lavi crouched down. He got on carefully, more for his own sake than Lavi’s, as his body was still a bit shaky. He tightened his hold a bit, and rested his head on Lavi’s shoulder.

“…Thanks, Lavi.” he mumbled quietly, still feeling bad that his friend had to take care of him like this.

I really should have known better than to drink anything in that office…

veridiansoulwrites:

Lavi immediately flinched and held his hands out to catch the younger
male. Allen caught himself but it was enough to scare the redhead.

“Yeah, we’re going. Would you like me to carry you? I don’t think you should walk…”

Allen wanted to refuse the offer, but he knew he probably wouldn’t make it more than a few feet on his own.

“Yea…” he said with a small sigh. “I’m sorry about this…”

veridiansoulwrites:

“Allen, I really don’t think that you are okay…” Lavi said as he very carefully tried to keep the white haired male standing. He pulled his arms away slowly but kept them at the ready in case he had to make a quick grab.

He ran a hand through his hair and frowned, continuing to stare at the other. He was searching for anything on the outside that would give away what was happening. “We should go to the doctor instead.”

Allen tried to shake his head, but the action made his head spin and he almost stumbled to the ground.

“…yea, okay. We probably should.” he conceded. “Maybe I’m just sick, and its just a coincidence…” Or maybe Komui’s stupid potion didn’t have any ‘special’ effect and just outright poisoned me…

veridiansoulwrites:

Things were going normally for a few moments after Allen had gotten
up. Lavi was hoping that whatever was affecting the white haired male
was over but the swaying immediately made him tense up.

“Hey Allen…are you alright?” He asked with caution in his voice as he held his arms out to steady Allen.

“Thanks, I’m okay.” Allen said with a smile, making an effort to look more normal as he steadied himself. Whatever was going on, he didn’t want to make Lavi worry too much. “I’m still just tired.”

Allen felt worried, though. Even if he didn’t eat, he usually didn’t run out of energy this quickly. There had been plenty of missions where he had to miss a few meals, and for the most part he had been fine as long as he didn’t fight. At this rate, he would be completely useless.

veridiansoulwrites:

As Allen slept Lavi passed the time by running his fingers through Allen’s hair with one hand while the other held a book. Just as the redhead turned the last page the train pulled up to the station, causing him to wake up the other boy.

“Allen, we’re here.” He said, gently shaking Allen’s shoulder.

Allen was confused for a moment as he opened his eyes, seeing Lavi above him. As he sat up, he tried to recall the dream he had been having… he had the feeling it was important somehow. But the more he tried to remember details, the more it seemed to slip away. Whatever it had been, he felt tense and oddly warm.

As he stood to gather his belongings, he swayed a bit. He felt even more tired than he had felt before he went to sleep.
