“We’ve already gone over this Allen. Just shut up and let me take care
of you.” Lavi sighed and adjusted his hold on Allen so that they were
chest to chest and his hands were holding on to the small of Allen’s
back and just below his ass. “Sorry about this, I know from personal
experience that this helps with moving around when dizzy.”

Allen wrapped his arms around Lavi, burying his face in his neck. He was already feeling less dizzy, but he didn’t really want Lavi to put him down yet.

“Ok… thank you, this does feel better.” he mumbled, his lips brushing against Lavi’s skin. Lavi seemed to be determined to make sure Allen was okay, so he gave up arguing. It was nice, having someone care so much about him. It should be okay to just rest and enjoy the attention for a while… Lavi was right, if there were any akuma, they would be drawn to them, and it was better Lavi was actually with him in that case, since Allen was in no condition to fight.

“Aren’t you going to stay with me?” Lavi asked, a little upset that Allen even thought about leaving. ((I redrew a few times but shhhh))

Allen bit his lip, trying to not start crying. He didn’t want to leave either… but it was painful living with Lavi, knowing it was unlikely Lavi would ever return his feelings. It was getting harder to hide his feelings, and the last thing Allen wanted to do was ruin his friendship with Lavi by revealing he had fallen in love with him.

“I… have to leave eventually, right? I thought… if I get my own apartment, you dont have to worry about me being in the way anymore…”

veridiansoulwrites:

“Hmm?” Lavi turned and when he saw that Allen had stopped he immediately rushed over. His long fingers pushed back white hair to get a good look at Allen’s face before pushing his friend into his chest.

“Use me as a base while I get you situated.” The redhead took off a few of Allen’s extra things before picking the smaller male up in his arms. “Yeah, you’re definitely not leaving the bed and I’m not leaving.”

Allen leaned heavily against Lavi, feeling the dizziness lessen a bit as he was picked up. Still, he felt too tired to open his eyes again.

“Ill be okay alone if I’m laying down…” he said, his voice faint. He didn’t want innocent people to be hurt by akuma attacks just because Lavi was too worried about him to leave his bedside.

“Besides, if anything is here it usually draws to us anyway.” Lavi kept glancing over his shoulder at Allen every now and then, still silently worrying over him. He was still going to be protective as hell while Allen was still out of bed.

“That’s true…” Allen murmured, concentrating on following Lavi and trying to keep his balance. The world around him seemed to be spinning, and it felt hard to breath. Lavi will be mad if I don’t say anything and faint…

“Lavi…” he whispered, stopping his attempts to follow. He shut his eyes, trying to stay upright, hoping Lavi had heard him.

“It’s probably a false alarm like the last couple of missions we were
sent on.” Lavi replied as he checked the room to make sure they didn’t
leave anything lying around before opening the door for Allen. While
they walked down the hall he made sure to keep a close eye on his
friend, searching for any signs of the white haired male collapsing
again. “You better be.”

“I hope so…” Allen muttered as he pushed open the door to step outside. He hoped that wherever they were staying was close, he was already beginning to feel dizzy. He waited for Lavi to lead the way, trying to not be obvious about leaning against the door frame for support.

“Always thinking about the mission…” Lavi mumbled under his breathe as
he brought his hands out and helped Allen to stand up. When it looked as
if his comrade was doing okay he pulled his arms back but kept them at
the ready in case he needed to move fast. “If you leave that bed for
anything other than the bathroom I will tie you to it. I mean it
Beansprout.”

“Isn’t it best to finish it quick so we can go home?” Allen pointed out, close enough to hear Lavi as he helped him stand. When he pulled his arms away, Allen had to resist the urge to stop him. It was still hard to stand, and somehow Lavi’s touch made him feel better… But Lavi would worry if Allen needed help, so he started for the door on his own.

“Ill be good, dont worry.” he said, ignoring the direction his mind had taken from his words. Why am I even thinking of that kind of stuff?

“Alright, thanks doctor.” Lavi smiled and waited until the doctor had
left before pointing a finger at Allen. “We are getting to the hotel and
you are going straight to bed. I don’t care how much you don’t like
that. You are still sick so you are going to rest.” Usually he wouldn’t
be so harsh with someone since he usually would function even with a
fever, but with Allen he had to. There had been too many incidents where
the younger exorcist pushed himself too far and made it worse.

Allen sighed, but he knew that if their positions were reversed, he would have told Lavi the same thing.

“Yea, Ill be good and rest, dont worry…” he said, sliding off the bed to his feet. “But you should still start the mission as soon as possible…“

Allen shook his head. He just wanted to leave so they could complete their mission, so he stayed quiet as the doctor scribbled something before putting the clipboard down.

“Any recent head injuries? Or a sudden change in diet?” the doctor spoke as he checked Allen’s vitals. Allen shook his head, sitting still, hoping to speed this along.

While Allen answered the questions the doctor asked Lavi paid close attention to make sure that Allen was being truthful. He could read Allen pretty well so it wasn’t very hard to keep his attention on him and pick out the subtle lies. Thankfully, Allen was being truthful for once.

“So, do you see anything doctor?”

The doctor was quiet for a few moments as he finished with poking and prodding Allen.

“Well, there are quite a number of things that can cause symptoms such as this. You have a slight fever, so it may just be that you are getting sick. Otherwise, I dont think you have anything to worry about unless the symptoms persist or worsen. You probably should just take it easy for a few days.”

Allen tried to not look happy. They wouldn’t be keeping him here! Though with how worried Lavi had been, he probably would ban Allen from even gathering information, let alone fighting.

“So I can go then?” he asked, and the doctor nodded. “Ok, lets go Lavi!”

Lavi smiled as the nurse walked away to retrieve the doctor before he
turned back to Allen with a small frown. One of his hands came up to
whisk through white hair once again, pushing it out of his friend’s
face.

“Either way, you’re getting checked out and will do whatever they say. I have some medical training and I couldn’t see anything specific that would explain this.”

“It could just be that potion of Komui’s though. They usually wear off after a while, so maybe its wearing off now. The doctors wouldn’t know how to deal with that, so…” Before Allen could argue further, the door opened and a man in a doctors coat entered.

“Hello, what brings you here today?” The man asked in a bored tone, looking at a clipboard.

“Whether it is or isn’t doesn’t matter. I’m still getting you checked out and you will behave with the orders.” Lavi fixed Allen with a pointed look, remembering all the times the younger male would slip out of the medical wing.

A few moments later the door swung open and Lavi plastered on a smile. “Allen has been feeling exhausted and did pass out for a while. He’s also having trouble walking. Have anything else to add Allen?”
