“But you look so cute like that, Allen! Can’t I at least get a picture or two of you first?” Lenalee crooned, before bursting into a fit of laughter over Allen’s attire. Which drew the rapt attention of both the finder and the bunny.

Lavi was the first to reach the duo, out-pacing Calera with his tall legs and no cloak to keep him bound. He stood next to Lenalee, trying to discern whatever he could from the situation now that he didn’t bother to listen for Calera’s own explanation. ‘It’ll probably be funnier to hear lil’ Allen explain it anyway.’ “I think Lenalee is right, Al’!’ Lavi teased. “Ya look good in that!”

Calera got a weary sense of deja vu as she strided up to stand behind Allen, at a relatively safe distance. She was losing control of the situation once more, and guess who had to show up? ‘If I hear one word about turning Allen into a cat…’

“Nooooo…” Allen groaned, sinking down to the floor and hugging his knees to his chest. “No pictures. Just let me have my normal clothes…”

Allen blinked in confusion, finding himself being pulled down the hall by Lavi. He was too disoriented at first to react, still trying to figure out the situation. Had he been crying? He quickly realized what must have happened. Again.

“Eh, what are you talking abo-?!” Lavi started to call back to Calera, but Allen quickly pinned him to the wall with a hand over his mouth.

“I dont think I should let you talk anymore, sorry Lavi.” Allen said with a deceptively sweet smile. He knew he wouldn’t be able to hold Lavi for long, at least not without getting his innocence involved, so he turned to Calera.

“Can you please take this stupid trigger thing off?”

“With pleasure.” Calera muttered, mimicking Allen’s facade as she leaded against the wall, watching Lavi’s struggle. “And Lavi, do try not to ruin this, okay? It’s about time we all got a break from this madness.” Allen wouldn’t be able to hold Lavi back when she said the phrase, so she hoped somewhere in that playful mind of his, Lavi agreed with her.

“Alright, just sink and listen. Let all voices except for my own just fade away, and fail to affect you.” Calera began, watching Lavi cautiously.

Allen’s expression went blank and his grip on Lavi loosened.

Lavi pulled Allen’s hands off of him and carefully maneuvered his way out from between Allen and the wall. He was careful to make sure Allen didn’t fall, considering he had been half leaning on Lavi when he went into his trance. He considered hijacking the finders hypnosis again, but he felt like she was right; Allen had been through enough today.

And for some reason all of his suggestions seemed to go wrong somehow, anyways.

“Fine, fine, I’ll drink the stupid thing.” Calera instinctively felt around in the small bag on her side, and got a heavy dose of shock when she nearly slipped her entire arm in. Hesitantly fishing around, she could see a sort of…select screen? “Okay, this is just weird.” But that didn’t stop her from ‘choosing’ the potion off of the items box, and nearly immediately holding it in her hand. She would have to keep that screen in mind the next time she wanted an item.

The soft green liquid nearly seemed to glow in it’s container, and to say Calera was hesitant to drink it now would be an understatement. “Just to let you know, I blame you if I end up dying from this.” And she tipped the bottle up and swallowed a few mouthfuls, before the entire contents just vanished in the air. She couldn’t say what it tasted like. It wasn’t a drink, yet she felt it run down her, but it disappeared as soon as it reached her tongue. What she did feel however, was a rush of energy as her body healed from the injuries she acquired.

Now she could focus on problems such as fighting. Her staff would be useless if she couldn’t figure out how to use the arts she had learned, and fast. “All I had to do was reach in my bag for an item select screen, so could there be something similar for fighting?”

Allen watched curiously, before sticking his own hand in the small bag on his hip. He saw a selection screen pop up, and grinned.

“This is kind of cool, actually. I always wondered how game inventories would actually work in practice. Its not as fast to use as a controller though, since we dont have hot-keys to instantly use recovery items…” He played around with the screen a few seconds longer before pulling out his new daggers and letting his old ones vanish into the bag.

“Now for fighting…” he muttered, holding the daggers up, but nothing obvious happened. He made a few lame slashes, hoping to engage some sort of ‘combat mode’, but couldn’t figure out how to activate any sorts of skills.

“This might be hard… I dont actually know how to fight with these, it was always just giving a command…” He did remember what the moves looked like as he fought, though, and tried to imitate one of the simpler moves. For a few moments, it seemed as if the daggers glowed, but the light quickly fade.

“I almost had it, I think!” he said, imitating the move a few more times. The daggers would glow when he started, but it kept fading out as he continued.

“Ah, well I planned to order as soon as they were done cooking your meal, Allen. If I had ordered right behind you, I would still have had to wait for my food, so I just thought I’d space out our orders a bit.” Calera stated, watching as the cooks worked to fulfill Allen’s large order.

“…either way you would have to wait about the same amount of time.” Allen pointed out, but shrugged and sipped at his soda while he waited for his order. He hoped the caffeine would help keep him more alert tonight.

He wanted to talk strategy, but he would need to tell her about what could be waiting for them beforehand so they could plan for any possibilities.

“Where are we exactly?”

Allen looked at Calera in alarm.

“I thought you were doing the navigation!”

“I…might have fallen asleep.” Calera mumbled sheepishly, rubbing the back of her hair absentmindedly.

Allen got up to poke his head out of their train compartment, looking for someone to tell them if they had missed their stop. He didn’t see anyone, and sighed.

“Well, we should find someone to tell us where we are, we might not have missed the stop yet, if we are lucky…”

Calera was going to respond affirmatively, but the was something off with what Lavi said. Something about…”Well, I’m glad that that’s over for now. But we might want to shut Lavi up before he says anything more!” Calera called over to the tear-streaked exorcist. There was no reason for her to say his name herself, at least, not until she got a chance to take the trigger off.

Allen blinked in confusion, finding himself being pulled down the hall by Lavi. He was too disoriented at first to react, still trying to figure out the situation. Had he been crying? He quickly realized what must have happened. Again.

finderoftheinternetorder:

Running. Really. The fastest exorcist to ever probably live was standing behind the door, and Allen is trying to run. It was kind of cute to Lenalee, as she only had to activate her boots for a second to catch up with the white-haired ‘maid’. Stopping in front of him, she was trying her best to prevent laughter as she reprimanded the other. “No one wants to end you, Allen! I just wanted to see what you’d look like when you wore this!”

Meanwhile Calera only got to see what seemed to be a bright rush of black and white, before she had to duck away from the door and regret every decision made that day as she witnessed the speedy chick dash past her to catch up with Allen. Only seeing Allen from the back, the skimpy outfit was a good shock to Calera’s senses, and it only was added when a hand hit her shoulder from behind, and she looked up to see Lavi’s curious stare.

“Hey, mind tellin’ me what’s goin’ on here?”

Well, Allen thought as he was easily caught by Lenalee, It was worth a shot, anyways…

“Ok, well, you see me. Now can I take it off?” he asked, leaning against the wall and trying to cover up as much of the costume as he could with his arms. He heard a familiar voice, and turned to see Lavi behind Calera, and groaned. God really does hate me… He pressed himself against the wall, trying to look as small as possible, as if that would make Lavi somehow overlook him.

Wasn’t that a list. Calera listened in wonder as Allen went off on a tale, listing off foods order by order. ‘I think I’ll just, yeah. I’m going to wait to order mine.’ She’d get her own food after Allen’s was done. Maybe even snack off of his plates until they were ready for someone new.

Once Allen had made his order, with the cashier promising to bring it to their table, he headed back to the table.

“Aren’t you going to get something?” he asked Calera, seeing she hadn’t ordered. “You really should eat…”
