I don’t really know where people get off playing Shion like the sensible one in the Nezushi dynamic? Or even someone mildly pragmatic or cautious? Shion would jump off a bridge on a dare. Like, we’re talking about a kid who sasses law enforcement, lets a class one criminal into his house and offers him food after being assaulted and then sleeps in the same bed after criminal shows he could clearly kill Shion, throws away his entire first class education and status on a whim and knows exactly what he’s doing when he does it, pets and plays with vicious guard dogs, reacts to getting mugged and assaulted with mild surprise, and is so caught up thinking about the love of his life that he smiles while in the heat of gunfire and still makes a comment about how cute his bae looks. 

And poor Nezumi’s over here losing his wits while Shion’s like “Today I got some free underwear out of the back of some guy’s shack. And the vendor down the street gave me this rice ball with a needle in it, should I eat it?”
