(I made the mistake of taking a drink of my water while checking the list to see what the number generated corresponded to and nearly spit my water all over my desk. omfg this is something Lavi would get Allen, not the other way around…)
Allen was very glad he had a great poker-face as he held out a box to Lavi.
“Happy Birthday Lavi!” He said with a grin, barely able to keep his voice steady. He was glad that he had been able to catch Lavi hiding in an unoccupied lounge, there was no way he would give Lavi this present in front of others, even if it were obviously a joke. He did try to maintain an innocent image, after all. But the idea of Lavi’s expression as he opened the box was too tempting, so Allen gave into the temptation of giving Lavi a prank gift.
The redhead crossed his arms and frowned more. “Well yes. But do ya really think I’m gonna go my whole life without gettin’ off? Just because I ain’t supposed ta, doesn’t mean I’m not gonna.”
He sighed and shook his head. “I’m already breakin’ rules, so what does it matter?”
“Ah… Well…. yea, I never really thought about it…” Allen said awkwardly. He felt like he was really messing up the whole ‘joke gift’ thing. Wasn’t this supposed to be funny?
“I guess I just thought you would have thought the gift was funny… and didn’t really think about anything past that.”

Lavi raised an eyebrow, a little confused by the way the other was acting. “Y’know I was just jokin’ right? I mean… Yea. I do that. But I was just tryin’ ta get a reaction outta ya.” He definitely hadn’t been expecting Allen to get this awkward and try to leave.
“I’m sorry if I weirded ya out or somethin’, Al.” He frowned.
“Its not that its weird…” Allen mumbled, not looking at Lavi. “I… just didn’t really… I kind of thought Bookman were not really supposed to care about people, I guess. You had said something like that in the Ark… I assumed that also applied to… physical relationships.” He hadn’t thought about consciously before, but he had assumed Lavi had never had a relationship. He didn’t have much to base that assumption on, besides Lavi’s general weird behavior around attractive women, and his guess that Bookman were not supposed to care about people.

“Oh definitely. Can’t let such a great gift go ta waste, y’know.” He was mostly just messing with the other now. He just wanted to see how he’d react. Though he seemed pretty calm right now.
Allen felt like this prank was backfiring somehow, though he wasn’t even sure exactly why he felt so bothered at the idea of Lavi making use of this gift. Or maybe it was the idea he would be making use of it with someone else?
“Umm, yea, I guess…” he wasn’t sure how to respond to that kind of stuff. If it were Cross, he would have thrown a bottle at his head or something… but Lavi implying he did things like that? It just made his chest hurt to even think about…
“Well… glad you like it. I, um, gotta… go help Jerry with something.” Allen said, deciding he would rather just not think about why this was making him feel bad.

“Alright then.” He muttered, closing the box and putting it to the side. He thought for a moment and then smirked at Allen, ‘winking’ at him. “Thanks, Sprout. I’m sure I’ll find some use for these things.”
Allen had not expected that sort of reaction. He resisted the curious and jealous urge to ask ‘What sort of use?’, and laughed awkwardly.
“Well I guess its good that they’re still useful, even as a joke…” he said, scratching the back of his head.

“Right…” He muttered. How could he have forgotten that the white haired male spent so much time with Cross? “So. Where’d ya even find these? When did ya even have time ta get this many?”
“Oh, I have my ways…” Allen said.
He didn’t really want Lavi to know he had spent his whole day off lurking around the block of the adult shop, trying to make himself to go in and buy so many as if it were normal. Of course, he had no problem finding the place, after all he had been through with Cross.

Lavi smiled widely when the white haired boy approached him with a box. “Thanks Al!” He proclaimed, pulling him into a hug before taking the box from him. “Ya didn’t have ta get me anythin’. But I ain’t givin’ it back!” He took a minute to think about what the other might have gotten him before opening the box.
As soon as he saw what was inside, his eye widened. “Al, what the fuck?” He looked up at his friend, overly confused. “Where the hell did ya even get these? I didn’t even know ya knew what these were, ta be honest…”
One look at Lavi’s confused face, and Allen couldn’t contain his laughter any longer. This was so worth the money…
“Lavi, remember who my master is. Of course I know about stuff like this.“ he said, still chuckling. “I overheard some people saying this was a fun prank gift to give to people, so… I thought you would be the least likely to injure me if I tried it.”
