I think Peridot might be starting to like Steven! every time they somewhat interacted, she’s gotten less concerned and more like “Oh, the Steven is here too.” and then she remembers that he’s part of the Crystal Gems and gets cautious again.

In “Keeping It Together”, Steven quietly lets Peridot finish her update, and when she noticed him she was mildly shocked and just asked if the others were there, and groaned when he eventually nodded. She didn’t view Steven as a threat, like the rest of the Gems, but more of just a warning!

Then, in “Friend Ship” she attacks and/or avoids the Gem’s attacks and weapons, but she doesn’t really attack Steven head on. Steven was also the only one able to actually hit her, but she didn’t look very injured afterwards, only irritated that the hit landed.

Then, she starts acting silly and playing around like a little kid

Even when she warps away, she copies Steven. (That’s how Lapis showed she liked Steven, by mimicking a sound he made)

Then, Peridot let Steven talk to her and finish his sentence over the computer communicator, but when Amethyst tried, Peridot cut her off much sooner.
