alright cats do pant, it’s rare & not common but they do
they do it when they’re overheated or if they’re exerted from running around/playing

it’s only dangerous if they do it frequently for absolutely no reason (say if it’s not hot & they’re just laying down/stressed & panting then they’re indicating something is wrong & you should take them to a vet)
you can help your kitty cool down by:

• 1. putting a cold damp cloth on the pads of their paws
• 2. wiping them down with a cold wet cloth (do not submerge them in water !!!!!)
• 3. giving them clean fresh water every day (you can put an ice cube in it too)
• 4. making sure they have access to a dark, cool, closed of area to relax in (such as a closet, or a basement)
• 5. keeping them inside during the hottest part of the day & watching for signs of heatstroke (if exhibited call ur local vet right away !!!)

Also, if the cat is panting a lot, check for a grey tongue.

If their tongue is grey, that means your kitty can’t breathe/circulate blood properly and you need to go to a vet IMMEDIATELY
