Alma was the first person to force him to face his emotions instead of ignoring them, and I think after a couple years Kanda could have eventually healed (the death of Alma wrecked him so badly that he never fully learned how to deal with emotions and therefore ignores them. It’s easier.)

– I feel like Alma would have seen straight through Lavi’s little white lies and would call him out on them. Alma would have forced Lavi to open up and let them in (in,,, a caring way ofc (^:)

– For the first time Allen Walker meets someone who hates innocence as much as he does, while still caring fiercely about his friends. He and Lenalee are the most perfect welcoming committee. Alma would bring Allen out of his shell and teach him that dealing with everything internally isn’t healthy (he had already done it once, and he would do it again. Yes, Allen reminded him a little bit of himself because if Alma knew anything it was that smiling and pretending to be okay was much easier than admitting that he needed help)

– Alma being protective as shit of his friends (he killed everyone to protect Kanda, it’s not much of a stretch to say that he would rather destroy the world than see his friends hurt)

– Alma meeting Miranda and instantly loving her (they read by the fire and he quickly learns that Miranda makes rlly good mint tea)
