Lavi raised his head as he heard soft
footsteps coming from the door. The light turned on suddenly, and he
squinted and blinked for a moment before his eye adjusted, finally
letting him look at Allen’s amused face.“Glad you’re enjoying the show. Thanks,” he grunted as Allen came closer to hold him up a bit. “The door was my
original plan, but I kinda jammed the lock. We’ll have to look into
that later. On the plus side, at least now we know no one could break in
through here.” He motioned at the window with his thumb, sending Allen a
huge grin. His friend’s hold was easing the discomfort a little bit,
and Lavi wiggled again just to test if the new position would make him
able to slide out. It didn’t.
“How did you manage to jam the lock…?” Allen asked with a sigh. “Well, you got in this far, you must be able to get back out. If I help push you it should work. If not, plan B.”
