He thought for a moment. “Maybe a squirrel? Mice are too small to make that much noise. Or maybe a bird? They could be trying to find their way out.”

“Is pest control open this late? Maybe we should just try to find out ourselves and if we can’t see, then call pest control.”

“It seems loud for a squirrel too… Birds would probably make bird noises, and I never heard anything but the banging. Maybe its a raccoon?” Allen didn’t want to go crawling around the house to try to find an unknown animal at this time of night, but if they could chase it out he could finally get some sleep.

“I dont think there are any pest control places that would stay open this late… at least nothing cheap. I suppose if we can find where it crawled in, we might be able to scare it out somehow and block the entrance?”
