Allen’s face turned red as Lavi kissed his hand lightly. Of course, you could barely tell he was blushing underneath all of the stupid makeup Lenalee had put on him to cover his scar.
“Lavi… I dont think that’s necessary…” Allen whispered, so as to not draw attention to themselves.
Lavi, Lenalee, Kanda, and Allen were all undercover at a fancy party, where the Order suspected that supporters of the Noah attended. Of course, they could only get in as guests, and for that, they each had to have a partner. Kanda and Lenalee partnered, naturally, since Lenalee was the only girl who could keep Kanda under control. But, that left Allen and Lavi both alone. Until Lenalee so helpfully suggested that Allen could probably fit into one of her dresses… and before he knew it, he had been dressed up as a girl, with Lenalee deaf to his protests.
And so here they were, with Allen feeling completely ridiculous in a fancy white and silver ballgown, painful shoes, makeup plastered all over his face, and escorted by Lavi, who seemed far too amused by the situation.
“What if they don’t even recognize you. You’re worrying to much.” The redhead sighed. “You have a lot of make up caked on your face, Lenalee went a little overboard. I know it’s you cause I see you everyday and am hearing your voice. If you see them just stay out of sight and don’t talk within ear shot.”
“You look like a lovely lady, no one can tell you’re not but us. Besides there is no guarantee they’ll show up or stay long. So let’s just enjoy things, how many fancy parties do we get to go to?” Not that he was one who was all for them, it just seemed fun every now and then.
“I would enjoy it more if I didn’t have to pretend to be a girl. I wont even be able to enjoy the food…” Allen muttered, staring at a banquet table with a wistful expression.
“If they recognize you, though, they would realize right away who I am…” The others had dressed up as well, but Allen could still easily pick out Kanda and Lenalee from the crowd, lingering near one of the walls.
“Its going to be really boring just standing around making small talk with people we dont even know… Couldn’t I at least talk to Lenalee? That wouldn’t look suspicious, right?” He knew he was whining a bit, but he knew if he had something to do the time would pass faster.
