Lavi chuckled as Allen was quick to finish the pudding. He was glad he got something into his system, at least, even if Lavi knew it wasn’t anywhere near enough.
“A promise is a promise,” Lavi said as he took the bowl from Allen and set it on the nightstand. “Roll over on yer side an’ I’ll keep doodlin’.”
Allen lay on his side quickly, making himself comfortable so he could go to sleep.
