FIV+ kitten needs a home or she will be put down

Okay, listen up. I know this isn’t bird-related, but it is VERY IMPORTANT.

This is Hermione. Several weeks ago, she and her three brothers were abandoned at our clinic.

All four tested positive for FIV, or feline AIDS. Shortly after, they all developed a secondary infection. The other three didn’t make it, but Hermione is recovering wonderfully.

HOWEVER

She still needs a home! Being FIV+ means she will need to be an INDOOR ONLY cat, and preferably the only cat in a household, unless your other cats are also FIV+.

Since she is SO YOUNG, though, it may be a FALSE POSITIVE, and she can be tested again when she is six months old.

We are currently going to function under the assumption that she DOES have FIV, though.

FIV+ cats are extremely difficult to place, but they can make wonderful, loving pets! Hermione is an absolute angel who only wants to play and cuddle all day long.

If Hermione isn’t found a loving, FIV+ friendly home soon, she WILL BE PUT DOWN.

If you live in or around the Morgantown, West Virginia (Monongohela County) area and are interested and know anyone else who might be, PLEASE drop me a line. I am willing to transport her a ways if you don’t live in the immediate area!

Won’t you please signal boost and help us find a safe place for her?
