isnt it funny how the word “islam” itself is a derivative of the arabic word for “peace” and yet associated most closely with violence by ignorant people everywhere

Because enough people commit terrorist attacks in the name of Islam.

I’m not saying that Islam is in fact a violent religion. Because it’s not. I’ve done my research. If anything, it’s far more peaceful than Christianity, at least in its history. But the people who are afraid of Islam are not without reason.

lol i like when islamaphobes try to hide their hatred behind “facts” and “logic”

actually ur more likely to be killed by a toddler than a muslim extremist in the US. In 2013 there were 3 americans killed in the Boston marathon bombing and 5 by toddlers.

since 9/11 there have been 37 american deaths linked to islam and more than 190,000 americans murdered for other reasons. Meanwhile, at least 39 muslims have been murdered by left wing extremists.

94% of all terrorist attacks in america are carried out by nonmuslims. in fact theyre the second smallest terrorist group (only after communists). The second largest is extreme left wing groups 🙂

there are over 1.7 billion muslims in the world. less that 1% are “radical”

its not that “enough people commit terrorist attacks in the name of Islam” its that western media would like you to think that they do

towards person 2 posts above: If you want to argue that ‘People who are afraid of Islam are not without reason’, while also admitting Christianity is more violent, then is it ok to say that there’s more of a reason to be afraid of Christians than Islams? Can we regard Christian hate crimes as terrorism too in this case? Because thats exactly what you are doing, you are attributing a persons religion to their actions. You cant do that to just one group and not another. But even in the post above, they attribute the terrorism to ‘left wing extremists’.
