Allen was a few minutes late, but managed to locate the restaurant that they had agreed to meet at. He spotted Calera and joined her at the booth, putting his bag next to him as he dropped into the seat.
“Sorry Im late, had to pick up spare batteries.” he said. “I found some more information… but I think its best to eat before I share it.”
“Agreed, besides, I want to get some energy in me before we have to see that hellhole anyway.” Calera replied. “Anything you want me to get? You head up to the counter in this place, so I can grab your food if you’d like me to.”
The batteries were a welcome addition to the arsenal Calera had bought for herself. No one needed that flashlight going out like last time.
“I’ll do my order, itll be easier.” Allen said. He made his way to the counter, looking at the options for a few moments before ordering. He ignored the look he got from the cashier when he gave her his huge order, he had more to worry about tonight, and he needed the energy.
