I’m pissed. Do you know why? Because Asexuals are unsure they should celebrate our day of visibility. Because people are saying they are copying off of the transgender day of visibility. We are just as important. We face hate and erasure too. People in the queer/gay community who are supposed to be welcoming often erase us. We have “Asexual Awareness Week” instead of “Asexual Pride Week.” This is an example. Now it’s people complaining about us showing our pride. Let us have this one day of visibility because every other day we are invisible.
